About your guide, Heather:
Hellllo, I'm a mom of two. How about you?
I've always enjoyed working with women. I love bringing them together, especially when there's laughter, a genuineness and connection.
I really enjoy being involved and active with my kids in fun family activities. I find fun and laughter outdoors is one of the best ways to connect with them.
So, you will often find us hiking in the trees, or swimming in the water, or sliding down the hill.
Still to keep my sanity, I like to: work at my business, go kayaking or biking or a for slow nature walk. None of this is for the body or the outfits. Just keeping it real here.
With a BSW, experience as a school counsellor and having worked with families, my lived experience as a mom, my sleep education and big drive to always get more and new information especially in neuroscience and lastly, over 7 years of helping families gain sleep, I am more than ready to help you too.
No stranger to learning from mistakes myself, I weave into my sleep programs what I So wish I'd known ahead of having kids, instead of years later. This stuff will make your parenthood journey easier, the rest of the way through!

Frequently Asked Questions:
Q Is this just for moms, or can my partner join?
A. It is not uncommon for dads to get involved in supporting moms, learning new sleep information and implementing the techniques, as well. The others you parent with are so important to your journey. Please feel welome to share the videos with your co-parent.
Our private online group space and our live group sessions are moms only spaces. You’re welcome and encouraged to watch the videos with your partner once you receive them when you join the program.
Q Do you teach that newborns should “cry it out”?
A. Absolutely not. Instead, we learn what newborns need, how they are wired to wake day & night to feed and how that this is completely normal.
Reminders are given that bad habits cannot be formed at this time and whatever works for you or your partner to get your baby to sleep is just fine- oftentimes it looks like feeding to sleep at this stage. We help you get through this often tough time.
Q. My baby is 6 months old and having a hard time sleeping, is this course right for me?
A. At 6 months old, if your baby was born on or after your due date, their circadian rhythms have been developing and should now be fully developed.
This change often causes sleep disruption for families, often referred to as 4M regression, but it’s an opportunity to set things up to learn independent sleep skills and that is what we offer in the Sound Sleepers Program.
